What Happens When You Call
- Call us and your insurer. Your policy expects you to start emergency work right away; you do not need to wait for the adjuster.
- We document. Photos, moisture readings and water category on arrival.
- Scope approved. The adjuster and we agree the covered work, usually within a week or two.
- We bill the insurer. You pay your deductible at the start; the balance comes from the insurer.
Insurance and Your Claim
Standard Ontario policies cover sudden and accidental water damage, fire including smoke and firefighting water, and additional living expenses. Sewer backup and overland water need endorsements; gradual leaks and deferred maintenance are excluded.
Documentation We Provide
- Timestamped photos of arrival condition, damage and cause.
- Water category per IICRC S500 and daily moisture logs.
- Thermal imaging of hidden moisture.
- A detailed scope of work with line-item pricing.
We work with the insurers writing policies in Ontario, including Intact, Aviva, Allstate, Wawanesa, Co-operators, TD, RSA, Economical and Belair. If there is a scope dispute, we document our position and advocate with the adjuster.
